Server monitoring API 1.0 released

June 11, 2009

We are pleased to announce the availability of the API for our server monitoring application, Server Density. The API is available for all account holders and allows access to all the monitoring data that Server Density collects, as well as the ability to pause/resume alerts.

The API is accessed over HTTP (or HTTPS) and returns JSON results. It gives full, real time access to each account which means there is plenty of scope for building applications on top of it. There are currently no usage restrictions, although we do log all requests to allow us to manage capacity planning.

Full API documentation and examples are available in the new Server Density documentation, which is going to be expanded to cover the whole service over the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing what is created – if you have any problems or feedback, get in touch.
